Global Warming
Many scientists studied global warming for many years. They discovered that the temperature of our planet increased quickly in the last century. The main reason was the pollution created by humans. People used too much energy and burned fossil fuels like coal and oil.
When humans burned these fuels, they released carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. This gas trapped the heat from the sun, and the planet became warmer. Scientists called this the “greenhouse effect.” It changed the way the climate worked all around the world.
In the past, the seasons followed a natural rhythm. But now, many areas experienced stronger storms, longer droughts, and heavy floods. Farmers lost their crops, and animals lost their habitats.
People also saw the melting of glaciers in the mountains and at the poles. The level of the sea rose, and some small islands disappeared. Cities near the coast became dangerous places to live.
Governments and organizations started to take action. They signed international agreements and reduced the use of dirty energy. They built more wind turbines and solar panels to produce clean electricity.
Many people also changed their habits. They recycled, used bicycles instead of cars, and planted trees. Schools taught children about the environment and how to protect it.
Global warming affected everyone. But humans learned from their mistakes and started to protect the Earth. Together, they created new ideas and technologies to make the future cleaner and safer for all living beings.
